A beautifully proportioned Omega dress watch from the turn of the 1960s, distinguished by its warm cream dial, elegant crosshair subsidiary seconds register, applied gold-tone numerals and classic stainless steel case.

The cream dial is the centrepiece of this example, featuring applied Arabic numerals at 12, 3 and 9 o’clock, complemented by slender baton hour markers and finely shaped gold-tone dauphine hands. At 6 o’clock, a delicate crosshair subsidiary seconds register introduces a distinctive geometric detail, adding depth and character to an otherwise restrained design.

Over more than six decades, the dial has developed a warm, natural patina, with subtle spotting and fine surface ageing that contribute to its individual appearance. The combination of cream tones and gold detailing gives the watch a particularly appealing mid-century aesthetic.

The polished stainless steel case measures 32mm excluding the crown, retaining the balanced proportions associated with traditional vintage dress watches. Its gently tapered lugs and clean bezel complement the simplicity of the dial, while a brown leather strap completes the presentation.

Inside sits Omega's Calibre 268, a 17-jewel Swiss manual-winding movement from the celebrated 30mm movement family. The movement has been recently serviced, providing additional reassurance for its next owner.

An elegant example of mid-century Omega watchmaking, combining distinctive dial detailing, traditional proportions and the enduring appeal of a hand-wound mechanical movement.
