Are your vintage watches authentic?
Yes, every watch we sell at Vintage Watch HQ is 100% authentic. We carefully inspect each piece, verifying originality and historical accuracy.
Are the watches serviced?
We can’t guarantee the full service history of every watch, but each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and handpicked from trusted sources, including collectors, auctions, and reputable dealers. If a watch has been recently serviced, we’ll mention it in the listing.
Do the watches come with a warranty?
Unless stated otherwise, vintage watches do not come with a warranty due to their age. However, we test all watches before shipping to ensure they run as expected.
What comes with my watch?
Each watch is sold as pictured and described. Some may come with original boxes or paperwork, which will be mentioned in the listing, if the original box is not available we will ship in a leather watch case.
Where do you source your watches?
We carefully select watches from private collectors, auctions, and trusted suppliers worldwide.
Do you take requests for specific watches?
Yes! If you're looking for a particular watch, get in touch, and we’ll do our best to find it.
Can I try on a watch in person?
Currently, we operate online only, but we provide detailed photos and descriptions to help you make an informed purchase.
Are prices including VAT, and is it refundable if I’m ordering from outside the UK?
Yes, our prices include VAT. However, if you're ordering from outside the UK, you may be responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or VAT in your country. We recommend checking with your local customs authority for details.

We offer free insured express shipping on all orders.
How long does shipping take?
We aim to dispatch within 1-3 business days. UK orders usually arrive within 1-2 days, while international shipping takes 5-10 days, depending on customs.
Any delays caused by customs clearance are not in our responsibility. The tracking details provided will help you monitor your shipment progress.
Is my watch insured during shipping?
Yes, all watches are shipped with full insurance for peace of mind.
Do I need to pay customs fees or import taxes?
If you're outside the UK, your country may charge import duties or taxes. Check with your local customs office for details.
What if the watch is damaged during shipping?
If there’s any damage in transit, please report it immediately to Vintage Watch HQ within 3 days including a detailed description of the issue.

Can I wear my vintage watch daily?

How often should I service my watch?
Vintage watches should be serviced every 3–5 years to maintain accuracy and longevity.
How should I store my vintage watch?
Store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, ideally in its box or a designated watch case.
What if my watch needs repair after the warranty period?
If your watch requires servicing after the warranty period, please reach out to us or seek the expertise of a reputable independent watchmaker familiar with vintage watches.
How do I wind a manual watch?
Place the watch on a soft surface, turn the crown clockwise until you feel resistance (usually around 20-40 turns), and avoid overwinding. Setting the time can be done by pulling the crown to its fully extended position and adjusting the hands.

What does "vintage watch" mean?
A vintage watch is typically 20+ years old and often has unique characteristics no longer found in modern watches.
What’s the difference between manual, automatic, and quartz-powered watches?
- Manual: Needs to be wound daily.
- Automatic: Self-winding through wrist movement.
- Quartz: Battery-powered and highly accurate.
Do you also sell watches for women?
All our watches are without gender tag and wearable for man and woman. Vintage watches in general are smaller sized than modern watches. So they very charming on smaller woman wrists too.
How do I find the right size for my wrist?
Measure your wrist with a flexible tape measure or a piece of string. Vintage watches are often smaller than modern ones, so compare the wrist size of the hand model in our product photos to get a sense of fit.
